Common Elements Standards Committee
 The Common Elements Standards Committee's Mission Statement is to assist the board to ensure consistency in the common elements of Ekolu Village. The committee will be doing research, fact finding and collecting data regarding issues that affect the common elements to facilitate the board's decision making on these issues.
 
 The first assignment the committee undertook was to research and make recommendations to the board regarding tile options for replacement of the tiles in the common and limited elements.
 
 Our association is only as good as the owners make it. So, let's make it great and get involved.

 A major asset and attraction of Ekolu Village is its lush, tropical landscaping. Landscaping is often a first and lasting impression of an area; it sustains quality of an area and provides pleasure and beauty for owners and their guests.
 
 In an effort to maintain and enhance this asset, the Landscape Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Directors. This committee analyzes present and future needs for landscape replacement, maintenance and enhancement.
 
 The Landscape Committee will make recommendations to the Board regarding landscape policies, particularly regarding preservation and restoration of views. Both the Board and the Landscape Committee recognize the value of our views of the ocean and Mt.Haleakala and their importance to owners. Every REASONABLE effort will be made to preserve or restore views blocked by growing vegetation. With respect to views, all modifications will be evaluated separately, on an individual basis, taking into account the desires and interests of all affected owners and the character of the landscape as a whole.
